The Buff Buzzards are a Sky Knight squadron that protects Terra Blusteria. They are first mentioned by Piper and later defeated by Dark Ace during the assault on Cyclonia in the pilot episode. They were briefly seen in the episode "Velocity", preparing their ride for the Terra Saharr race. They later participated in the counterattack that repelled the Dark Ace and his invading Cyclonians. They also appear in "The Lesson" where they are defeated by an empowered Snipe.
Their leader appears to have a rivalry with his counterpart in the Screaming Queens, who believes that she can "kick twice as much butt" as him.
The Buff Buzzard's appear to be based on real life Vikings or barbarians. They are all large and heavily built, wear spiked helmets and wield long, broad-bladed energy swords in combat, powered by blue crystals.
