The Great Expanse is a vast uncharted section of the Atmos. No one knows how big it is, or even what's inside, since few ships have never made it back. A mysterious energy fills the area, making navigation and all other equipment completely useless. It's impossible to tell where you are, or even how long you've been in there. Slowly, the energy starts to affect everything on board, even the minds of the lost crew.
